When we speak, we think that the
interlocutor understands what we take and vice versa. It seems that we
construct the conversation while we speak each other.

However it is not true.
It is a belief, a thing that we would like to regard like that because the
language is an image of our perception. It is like mixing a coloured water into
a transparent one. No matter how long it takes, the fact that it is water never
changes for that.

It is said that there are 2
phenomena in a word. Firstly, it is an expression as sounds or letters. And
secondly, that of contents.

Nevertheless, in my opinion, there
is the 3rd by seeing the 2nd in detail. It is a sentiment. When we use a word,
there could be a judgment in it. For example, those who have had a terrible
experience over eating oysters, there must be a bad feeling against the word “Oyster” when they write it or taking about it. In this case, “Oyster” is not an independent word by the
sound or writing.

We, humans, communicate by the
concepts. It is impossible to transfer what we have in our mind directly to
other peoples. We have to make it into a word, music or a body language, in
other words, the expression of the second dimension. The action of molester is
same with that of her lover does.

The first thing that appears in our
minds never touches the others directly because the condition of the point
where we were can be not replaced by the others. The other person can not be in
the same place of another ones. This line of us, made by the successive of our
mind is just for a person. We are like we are because we are ourselves for
ever.

It is necessary to have a realization that
requires a concept when a perception becomes a feeling. For “considering” a
pain, for instance the Japanese have to know the word “itai(Japanese)” including its concept. Without knowing this word, they cannot say
that they have a pain. Therefore those who do not know this word never think “itai” no matter how hard we gave them the pain. They perceive a pain by
their language. It is like that those who have lived without knowing the
existence of a language even do not know the meaning of a day.

A concept is piles and telescope. A certain
concept is a particle of another concept. We can say that a concept has an
unlimited space although the way of expression is limited. For example, when we
ask someone about what is a family. The answer is made by the concepts that are
gained by his/her life and he/she changes the concepts for let others
understand. The sounds are not constructed by
just do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si. It is us who decide it, but the sounds are
unlimited. We always lack the ways for expressing what we would like to show.

The Japanese, they are, in a certain sense, a
undeveloped ethnic. The“ethnic”here means the people who spent the
generation in this island with their language, that of the concepts which are
the origin of the words of the language and the society which connects with
these things.

Why undeveloped. It is because they can not
have the pure and unique concepts in general. Since they started to use the
Chinese characters, the development of their own concepts stopped.

However, it can be said that that are the Japanese
who live with this combination of languages.

What I had just mentioned above is
a traditional concept or a historical concept. It already existed before we are
born.

And there is another concept. It is
an individual concept. That is what I have also mentioned above, the concept
which each individual has created with the limited expressions after he/she
accepts the traditional concept.

A Japanese author, Yukichi Hukuzawa
says, “those
who study hard will be rich and noble men while those who do not will be the contrary
men”. Here, in the meaning of “study” there is history.

A history of a nation is all of the
events of the life concerning metrology, economy, wars and trading etc. And as
I mentioned, there are factors for those ones of the history.

However the situation changed
completely by the defeat of the 2nd world war. By a policy named WGIP(War Guilt
Information Programme) of USA, who occupied Japan after the war, the Japanese
traditional concepts were denied. That is to say, the history was forced to
stop.

The stop of the history cuts the
traditional concepts. Surely, the events that had happened do not change their
forms. But for the people of Japan, the concepts which had been with the events
have varied and now it is something that they do not see like they had seen
before. The traditional concepts until then have become things different from
these of their own.

As a result, the concepts only rested
for them are these that were given by the country occupying them as the new ones
and their individual concepts. However the individual concepts base on the
traditional ones therefore their new individual ones are those that based on
the new ones after the policy of USA takes effect.

For that reason, the history for
the Japanese nowadays has just a several decades in it. And their way of
thinking is that of immature and since they are like neoteny, the phrase as “life
of a human is more important than the earth” or “the three non-nuclear principles (not to construct, not to have and
not to let enter)” are pleased due to just its nice
simple sounds but no logic. In other
words, they are living in the primitive age.

It is complicated for a man of a
concept to undertand another man who do not this concept and vice versa. The
concept of the owner itself is also special. We cannot help but transfer these
things by the variety of way of expression.
